 Find out how much energy you are using when appliances are left plugged in 24 / 7 / 365. Good Magazine’s Vampire Energy Chart breaks it down in terms of kilowatt-hours of energy use and the cost to the consumer. Added up Vampire Energy costs us all over $250 each annually.

I am not advocating unplugging ans turning off your computer or printer every time you leave it. However, if you are leaving for a weekend or are not going to be online or watching TV for a few days turn things off and even unplug them. Save yourself some dough plus pat yourself on the back for doing a little something for your planet by being ‘greener’.
