Once upon a time there was a family with teenagers. Dad ran a construction company with 6 employees. Mom ran an at-home party business. This is the story of their Home Office Storage Closet,  3 long days and 4 people.

Everything came out of the closet & the large filing cabinet (which was chock full of files & paperwork), was sorted & then re-filed as needed.

 Before the first day, this is what it looked like:

By the middle of the second day this is what it looked like:

What the pictures don’t show is the inside of each file drawer has been cleared out by this time also! Four large garbage bags of paper has been thrown away - most of it had to be shredded. One box of prior year files was sent to storage to be archived.

By the end of the third day, this is what the storage area looked like, with a place for her inventory & catalogs, his construction manuals, room in the individual file drawers plus room to grow.

I’m impressed. I need to do something similar, but can’t quite face going through my files.
